    tag 263402 -sarge
    thanks

During the install a question comes up that might have a reasonable

are installed and it want to know wether to use "ispell german" or
    "ispell german -tex".

    Thanks for your feedback,

Which were the values for 'debian-installer/language' and 'debian-installer/country' in the debconf database and the
dictionaries-common version used, as well as debconf priority?

Code supporting guessing of default ispell dictionary and wordlist after debian-installer/{language,country} values was added in
    dictionaries-common version 0.21.0, from 20 Feb 2004.

If 'debian-installer/language' is "de" that question should only be
triggered if the debconf priority threshold is low (the question would have then low priority).

David, I am reassigning this bug report to dictionaries-common. I am also removing the sarge tag, even if the problem became evident during a sarge install it also affects sid.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for reassigning.

Which were the values for 'debian-installer/language'

    Value: de_DE:de_DE:de:en_GB:en
(from greping config.dat on the running system)

    'debian-installer/country'

    Value: DE

in the debconf database and the
    dictionaries-common version used

    Version: 0.22.30.1

, as well as debconf priority?

booted standard d-i image, the install should have been and and did feel like
a slick high priority one otherwise. (Did not install X this time, though :)

    Cheers,
    Christian

Here is the problem, the code at dictionaries-common.config expects
a plain language locale there (e.g., 'de') as I think was in
debian-installer when that code was written.

I will try to find some time to think about this (I am currently in
    vacation)

Thanks again for your quick reply,

    Cheers
