• Bug#266520: amanda-server: /usr/lib/amanda/killpgrp should be mode 4754

    Package: amanda-server
    Version: 1:2.4.4p3-1
    Severity: important
    Tags: security

    I found this in /tmp/amanda/killpgrp.XXXXX.debug:

    killpgrp: debug 1 pid 2153 ruid 34 euid 34: start at Wed Aug 18 07:31:41 2004
    /usr/lib/amanda/killpgrp: version 2.4.4p3
killpgrp: error [must be setuid root]
killpgrp: pid 2153 finish time Wed Aug 18 07:31:41 2004

    Seems amanda wishes this:
    -rwsr-xr-- 1 root backup 5612 Jul 24 08:21 /usr/lib/amanda/killpgrp*

    instead of:
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5612 Jul 24 08:21 /usr/lib/amanda/killpgrp*

I don't know if debian made it 755 by design, but I report it anyway.

    Greetings,
    O. Wlfelschneider
