Package: libapache-mod-frontpage-mirfak
Version: 1.6.2-7
Severity: important
When I install libapache-mod-frontpage-mirfak after installing apache, libapache-mod-perl and libapache-mod-ssl (all of which are working) the
install process says:
A new Apache module has been installed. Reconfigure apache [Y/n]?
WARNING: Use of apacheconfig has been deprecated!
apache-modconf should be used instead.
After installing the package the LoadModule directive is not in
httpd.conf, modules.conf or conf.d. Adding the LoadModule directive from /usr/lib/apache/1.3/340mod-frontpage-mirfak.info into httpd.conf or modules.conf and restarting apache enables the module to load.
There was a posting to debian-devel in April 2004 about switching away
from the use of apacheconfig. I followed their lead for the severity
level. Re-adjust as you see fit, but to most users this package will
give a strange warning and appear to not work. README.Debian does
mention the needed LoadModule line but the install process appears to be
trying to do that automatically.
