    I am not sure I understand you - freshclam looks for
    /etc/clamav/clamav.conf, and the file is actually in /etc/clamav? But
    that's the same thing, isn't it?

    At any rate, this behavior is only for signalling clamd to reload it's database. You can always get rid of NotifyClamd for freshclam.conf.

    Can you send me the log file snippets that you're seeing, so I better understand your problem?
