• Bug#266498: debian-installer: 'tar' command does not support '-c' param

From Tetralet@1:229/2 to All on Wed Aug 18 03:40:08 2004
    XPost: linux.debian.maint.boot

    Package: debian-installer
    Severity: wishlist

I used to use Debian Woody's boot CD as a rescue CD.

I remember that the 'tar' command supports '-c' parameter in Debian Woody's boot CD,
so that I can use it to backup my files, like the files in '/etc/' or whole '/'.
But I find that the '-c' parameter is not supported by 'tar' command in Debian-Installer.
Please consider to support it. Thanks in advance.
