• Bug#266392: lynx-cur: XHTML thwarting

    From Dan Jacobson@1:229/2 to All on Tue Aug 17 22:30:15 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: lynx-cur
    Version: 2.8.6-3
    Severity: minor

    In lynx one hits \ to see the source of
    http://women.alioth.debian.org/faqs/, but can't.
    Perhaps this is due to
    Content-Type: application/xhtml+xml;charset=iso-8859-1

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional/ etc. etc.

    (AMB: I notice wwwoffle's AddCacheInfo is also not added.)

    Maybe too new technology? Maybe too old operator? I notice the
    document doesn't pass the validator too.

    Firefox and lynx both render the document. Firefox's ^U shows the source, lynx's \ doesn't.
