• Bug#261176: /usr/bin/firefox: start in existing window

    From Dan Jacobson@1:229/2 to All on Tue Aug 17 22:30:13 2004
    From: [email protected]

    No way to start in an existing window:
    $ mozilla-firefox&
    $ mozilla-firefox --reuse-window .
    would hopefully not add another window to the screen to get the
    current directory.

    There were -remote and -n flags for mozilla.

    Eric> -remote still works, there is a command to do this, search some more.

    $ mozilla-firefox -remote "openurl(http://www.mozilla.org)"
    selected locale: en-US
    Error: No running window found

    Well, if you know a way to do it, please tell me or tell me where to search.
