• Bug#266341: phpgroupware: Configuration does not account for default we

From Olaf Grewe@1:229/2 to All on Tue Aug 17 19:00:12 2004

    Package: phpgroupware
    Version: 0.9.16.002-1
    Severity: normal

    Hi,

I've noticed that phpgroupware does not come ready for Apache2, even
though this web server is installed when choosing "Web Server" during
    the base-config package selection.

From what I can see, the only change necessary is to copy/link /etc/phpgroupware/apache.conf into /etc/apache2/conf.d/ . This would be
much more consistent and doesn't look like too much work.

    Thank you
    Olaf

Yeah. The problem is with requiring every package to figure that out on
    it's own. (There's at least apache, apache2, apache-perl, apache-ssl.)

IMHO, the proper solution is (or would be, if implemented) to ask the
user once on which web server he wants to have all the web applications (phpGroupWare, phpMyAdmin, whatever webmail,...) and then do that.
I'm aiming to do this via wwwconfig-common, but it's not there yet.
Until then, I'm afraid you'll have to do the linking yourself.

    Kind regards
