    There is no problem under KDE.

    Under Gnome, the Firefox menus are weird. When I click on a menu,
    instead of being highlighted somehow, it turns completely white (both
    the text and the background), rendering it unreadable. As I move my
    mouse over various options, each option will be completely white while
    the mouse is over it. I haven't observed this behavior in any other application yet.
