    Comments/Problems:

    Hi, this install worked like a charm. At least in the 2.4 kernel.

    If booted with the linux26 image, I can not switch to the console. The german umlaut characters don't work then (in the installer. If you enter one, it is not displayed
    and neither is any character after that...)

    If booted with the linux24 image, the installer works (apart from some status messages
    with defective umlauts right after choosing these settings). But in the console (Alt-F2)
    the umlauts are displayed defective. I didn't try if this is only a question of the display
    or really of wrong characters ending up in files...

    Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/. Once you have filled out this report, mail it to [email protected].
