  • Bug#218653: tramp: This also crashes emacs

    I have the same bug, and what's more, it seems to crash emacs. Can't
    get any useful information out of the core dump, unfortunately.

    Debian Release: 3.1
    APT prefers testing
    APT policy: (500, 'testing')
    Architecture: powerpc (ppc)
    Kernel: Linux 2.6.6
    Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US

    Versions of packages tramp depends on:
    ii emacs21 [emacsen] 21.3+1-5 The GNU Emacs editor

    I'm using testing... I guess if you're certain that the bug will go
    away with emacs from unstable (and that that will make it into the
    release) go ahead and close the bug.

    Oh God! I guess emacs21 is blocked by the libtiff transition :-(

    Yes, I'm sure it has been fixed in 21.3+1-6.
