d-i RC 1 can currently resize vfat, ext2, and ext3 partitions during a
Debian install. The utility that currently provides this resizing
capability is "GNU parted", but it has no support for resizing NTFS partitions.

And that has no activity since years.
[...]
I humbly request that a stripped down "udeb" of "libntfs5" (and possibly
also ntfstools) be created so that they are suitable to be used in d-i.
Then integration between GNU parted and libntfs5 or ntfsresize would be
much more acheivable.
No, it is not necessary to package all the things, only what you are going to
use. After the installation, you will have full .deb support, so in the udeb you will need a stripped, size-optimized, statically-linked ntfsresize only (just exactly how Joey kindly put into bug #265617, many thanks, Joey!).

Feel free to file a wishlist bug report against ntfsresize for making an udeb. If we have such a package in 20 days and there are no too much unknown bugs in partman there will be chances to make the necessary
changes in partman before rc3 (provided that there will be rc3 at all).
Do not worry, I just saw that I messed the Conflicts and Replaces in 1.9.2-1,
so tomorrow I will release a new version with the udeb.
*NOTE* After that, you will have to talk to archive maintainers for approving my release in time as I suppose that they need to edit the override file for udebs as well.
Many thanks, and please keep up your superb work,
Ender.
