• Bug#266216: Does not work at www.goproblems.com

From Juhapekka Tolvanen@1:229/2 to All on Tue Aug 17 05:10:08 2004

    Package: gcjwebplugin
    Version: 0.3.0-1
    Severity: important

Well, now we have at least some kind of free Java-plugin for Mozilla and compatible browsers. I think, this is the first WWW-site, where it must
    be made working properly:

    http://www.goproblems.com/

It uses very simple Java-applets for those Go-problems. And even sources
for those applets are provided under GNU GPL. Right now that Java-applet
does not work with this Java-plugin. It simply do not start at all. And
that applet needs just Java 1.1. If I close that tab, where applet trys
to run, process of sablevm is still seen with ps-command. After a little
while WWW-browser crashes. It can crashes even though I killed that sablevm-process.

I am not sure, if this matters at all, but I use that plugin with
Mozilla Firefox. I just created symlinks that points from
plugin-directory of Mozilla Firefox to that plugin.

I cant find a direct applet on this page, only a link to a sourceforge
project containing a java applet. Can you give me direct links to
    pages containing applets ?

Were there any error messages when starting your browser from
    console ?

What links were needed ? I dont use firefox so I cant test. I would
like to include the needed links in the debian package.
