This bug is fixed in xemacs21-basesupport 2002.03.29-1.
Simply typing M-x w3 <RETURN> is a simple test: this loads the page
identified as failing in the original bug report (
http://www.cs.indiana.edu/elisp/w3/docs.html). The page now loads
properly.
My /etc/mailcap contains the offending text/x-c++ lines identified as
the cause of the original bug report. This no longer causes problems.
Finally, the patch suggested by James L Moss in a followup to the bug
report as a fix has basically been applied (by upstream) to
mm.el in this version of xemacs21-basesupport (mm-version is 1.96).
It's all done. Please feel free to close this bug.
Cheers!
Shyamal
