    ARRGH!

    running asterisk -vvvc gives:

Are we allowed to distribute gsm codecs? I think that it's patented, so undistributable, at least in main.

Cannot it be disabled in any config file? Perhaps it has been removed
from the package, but not from the modules asterisk try to load.

For now on, every new upload should be priority medium, at least, if we
want it to have any chance of reasching Sarge.

    Cheers

    Hi Jose,

Are we allowed to distribute gsm codecs? I think that it's patented, so undistributable, at least in main.

the fix is already in svn. I just can't get svn-buildpackage to fly
again. Somewhat is very fishy today with subversion or svn-buildpackage
which i cannot figure out yet how to solve it.

And yes, we are shipping libgsm1-dev as dependency legally. It's in
    main.

Cannot it be disabled in any config file? Perhaps it has been removed
from the package, but not from the modules asterisk try to load.

Disabling the one codec that does work ok with GM? Are you NUTS?! That's
the only codec i have left that doesn't screw up my audio quality!

For now on, every new upload should be priority medium, at least, if we want it to have any chance of reasching Sarge.

go ahead and fix the asterisk/trunk. The fix is in as dpatch already.
