• Bug#266121: apache2-common: ports.conf and ssl

    From Anand Kumria@1:229/2 to All on Mon Aug 16 21:40:10 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: apache2-common
    Version: 2.0.49-1
    Severity: normal

    a2enmod ssl doesn't do much for an admin (the README-SSL is worse; not
    only it is outdated but the English is terrible). Most admins wants
    things to 'Just Work' -- it is something Debian is/was famour for.

    A small way of making things 'Just Work' would be to have a ports.conf
    file which looked similiar to this:

    giskard:/etc/apache2# cat ports.conf
    Listen 80
    <IfModule mod_ssl.c>
    Listen 443
    </IfModule>

    Cheers,
    Anand
