Hi,
I suggest that you run lintian and/or linda on your package and fix the permissions warnings that they will point out to you.
Where I `lintian cong*.dsc` did, I didn't get errors.
Due your suggestion, I wrote override files.
$ lintian --show-overrides ../conglomerate*0.7.14-3*deb
O: conglomerate-common: pkg-not-in-package-test conglomerate /usr/lib/menu/conglomerate-common
O: conglomerate-common: menu-command-not-in-package /usr/lib/menu/conglomerate-common:6 /usr/bin/conglomerate
O: conglomerate: binary-without-manpage conglomerate
O: conglomerate: no-copyright-file
Those are all due the package split.
A new diff.gz is available for my sponsor ( IANADD ),
see #263701 for details.

randy

P.S.
I did _not_ get permission warnings from lintian.
