• Bug#266095: uscan: ability to munge upstream version string

From Ove Kaaven@1:229/2 to All on Mon Aug 16 20:00:14 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: devscripts
    Version: 2.8.1
    Severity: wishlist

I can't use the upstream version string directly, I need
to alter it slightly. In particular, I need to prepend "0.0.",
so that, given an upstream release named Wine-20040716.tar.gz,
the version used in Debian should be 0.0.20040716. Since this
does not seem to be possible, I currently can't use uscan,
    though I would like to.

(If it is possible, please document it in the manpage. Thanks.)
