    trying to build the package in a clean environment (pbuilder chroot), I got:

    psfig was removed in tetex-base 2.0.2a.

    * New upstream tarball: Repacked by the Debian team to remove files
    with non-free licenses:

    - psfig.sty (People still using it should consider switching
    to the graphics package. As long as this is not done you may
    use epsfig.sty from the same package) (closes: #182324)

    Have a look at grfguide.ps how to use epsfig. It should have the same
    syntax as psfig.
