Package: iptables
Version: 1.2.11-2
Followup-For: Bug #232401
i'm experiencing the same problem with iptables on kernel 2.4.26
on a 64bit sparc box: no rule addition with the ULOG target works,
"invalid argument" is all i get.
looking at the mailinglists yields this info:
the problem actually stems from the kernel being 64bit but userland
being 32bit.
the ULOG extension has specific code to deal with this particular
weirdness since 1.2.10 or so, and if you build iptables locally on
a 64bit box, the ULOG target does indeed work.
real fix: hmm, maybe split iptables into a normal package and one for 32/64-split architectures?
regards
