This bug seems fixed as of xemacs21-basesupport version
2002.03.29-1. It is impossible to reproduce. I believe you can close
this bug.
I have used EFS to succesfully access files on a FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE
system with a password that contains the '@' character. It works fine.
I've also tried running xemacs with exactly the same format as
suggested in the bug report with bash on a sarge system (and this
suggest that a different problem being reported than '@' in the
password, but here goes anyway):
xemacs /`whoami`@localhost:.
and this bought up dired on my home directory as expected.
$ dpkg -l 'xemacs21*' | grep ^[hi]
