Since version 1.9.4-0.1 (new upstream version 1.9.4) this bug has been
fixed. fp-compiler no longer requires special "asw", "ldw" and "windres". Having "mingw32-binutils", the RTL compiled for Win32 at /usr/lib/fpc/1.9.4/units/win32/ and passing
"-Twin32 -FD/usr/i586-mingw32msvc/bin" as options to the compiler (or using
the #ifdef trick stated above, without the -XP part), I can confirm that cross-compiling for Win32 works correctly.
Therefore I think this bug is closed.
It could be created a fp-units-rtl-win32 package (or have win32 in the fp-units-rtl) but I'm not volunteering ;-)
