• Bug#266042: OpenOffice.org new translations: incorrect dependencies

    From David Chan@1:229/2 to All on Mon Aug 16 15:10:14 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: openoffice.org-l10n-cy
    Version: 1.1.2-3

    I believe the dependencies are incorrect.

    Depends: openoffice.org (>> 1.0.99+1.1)

    However, I had openoffice.org 1.1.0-3 installed, as well as the above
    package, and it did not work. I typed:

    $ LANG=cy_GB.UTF-8 oowriter

    but the interface appeared in English. When i upgraded the openoffice.org package to 1.1.2-3, this fixed the problem.

    Welsh is only supported in the official OOo from 1.1.2, so I suspect
    the dependency line should be fixed as follows:

    Package: openoffice.org-l10n-cy
    [...]
    Depends: openoffice.org (>= 1.1.2)
    ^^^^^^^^

    I suspect this may apply to the L10N packages for other languages added recently to OpenOffice.org, too.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for this report. Yah, there is a problem. Moreover the problem is
    that those dependencies are autogenerated (there is only one entry for
    all languages) so that when we force foo all langpacks depend on foo.

    Hmm.

    Anyway, this needs fixing and probably will be fixed post-sarge since it
    is now a bit too late for sarge...

    Gre/Regards,
