Package: hfsplus
Version: 1.0.4-5
Severity: wishlist
I believe this is a known issue: after a crash an hfs+ partition
would only mount read-only. Hfsplus wouldn't even recognize it as
hfs+. I repaired the (non-system) volume in os x, but that didn't
change anything under Linux.
My guess:
I recall newsgroup messages about a dirty bit that os x fails to
reset. According to some newsgroup messages, running hpmount seemed
to fix the problem, but not in my case. Does this have anything to
do with fixing bug 231270? It would be nice if there was an option
to force writing that bit.
I erased the volume under os x and restored the contents from a
backup, so right now I can't reproduce the error messages.
