• Bug#265994: ppack: command not found

From Robert Millan@1:229/2 to All on Mon Aug 16 09:30:08 2004

    Package: sbuild
    Version: 0.30
    Severity: normal

When trying to use the checkchroot script:

/usr/lib/sbuild/checkchroot: line 11: ppack: command not found

I haven't found this command in any package in debian. Maybe it's a disabled internal function?

ppack has been removed, it was in woody. Unfortunately dpkg is yet broken,
if you check the code there is a proper way to have it working without ppack, but unfortunately it does not work as it should.
It needs again a new hack to work. BTW the use of checkchroot is discouraged (or at least unuseful) due to the new buildchroot script. It's already pointed in
    the new README.

Maybe the script should be removed, then? Even if it's easy to fix, if the script is deprecated and doesn't currently work, I think that'd be the best solution.
