Package: k3b
Version: 0.11.14-1
Severity: important
I tried loading k3b from the menu, the splash screen came up and so did a couple of message boxes.
The first said "Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream". An error I've been getting with most kde applications, but doesn't seem to affect useability.
The second said "No mime types installed." An error I've not had before and only seem to be getting from k3b.
After I click OK on those two boxes I then get the kde crash handler
messagebox pop up. A backtrace from that gives :
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".

After closing the crash handler I then tried running k3b from the
commandline to see if any further clues were available. I got this output :

KCrash: Application 'k3b' crashing...
Doing a quick google showed that a possible solution was to delete the ksocket-<foo> and mcop-<foo> directories from /tmp I tried this but I'm
still getting the same errors.
I have had k3b working before and I use it quite frequently.
