• Bug#155802: xscreensaver: Default Debian install often puts diagnostics

From Jamie Zawinski@1:229/2 to All on Sun Aug 15 10:10:08 2004

I believe this is not a bug.

However, if you believe that's a bug, then feel free to set the "ignoreUninstalledPrograms" to True in the app-defaults/XScreenSaver
file you install -- that will cause it to not print an error message if
the program could not be run. It will also cause uninstalled programs
to not show up in the xscreensaver-demo list at all (as opposed to
appearing there but being grayed out.)

It's also pretty embarrassing when that happens.

I suggest you get out more!
