• Bug#265808: Enigmail can't find keyrings

    From Lance W. Haverkamp@1:229/2 to All on Sun Aug 15 06:40:05 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: mozilla-thunderbird-enigmail
    Version: 2:0.85.0debian1-1

    Installed thunderbird
    Installed enigmail
Enigmail can't find the public or private keyrings that are already sitting in ~/.gnupg

Come to think of it, I don't see an option to find the key ring directory (assuming it's supposed to work that way) or a way to import a local keyring (if it's not designed to use the existing rings).

I am using MEPIS 2003.10 Debian GNU/Linux upgraded approx 8/1/04

Enigmail just uses gpg. Have you figured out, why gpg is not working??

    Hi,

Not sure I understand your reply...kgpg is working fine (both key management & editor--though the "agent" doesn't work). Kmail will encrypt, sign & decrypt fine. Kmail has no trouble finding the keyrings.

None of the keys are showing-up in Thunderbird/Enigmail.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Lance
