• Bug#265764: fonty: Installation fails: /dev/tty1: No such file or direc

From Paul Brook@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 22:30:11 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: fonty
    Version: 1.0-17
    Severity: important

    When tyring to install:
    Setting up fonty (1.0-17) ...
Setting up console font.../var/lib/dpkg/info/fonty.postinst: line 74: /dev/tty1: No such file or directory
    dpkg: error processing fonty (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
    Errors were encountered while processing:
    fonty
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I'm using udev, so /dev/tty1 does not exist. I don't think this shoulkd
    prevent fonty installing though.

Yes. You're right. But I don't know devices schema for udev. Which device
is used as replacement for /dev/ttyN?

    udev uses /dev/vc/N
