I havent had a problem recently, but I'm using a different video card, new version of XFree86, etc, and actually havent had much time to do video production lately. Close the bug, if I experience it again, I will re-report
it with all my new information.

You apparently haven't followed up on this message. Did recent versions
of kino still show these odd effects from time to time for you?
