• Bug#265686: mc does not recognize ~/bin

From Michelle Konzack@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 14:40:08 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: mc
    Version: 1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre1-3
    Severity: important

    Error description:

    I have following lines in

    ____ ( '/home/michelle/.bash_profile' ) ______________________________
    /
    | export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin
    |
    | if [ -d ${HOME}/bin ] ; then
    | export PATH=${HOME}/bin:"${PATH}"
    | fi
    \______________________________________________________________________

which works quiet well in the console and under X.

But if I start "Midnight Commander" it does not know abourt the ~/bin directory. In "mcedit" it works if I use <F11>i => "command" in ~/bin

The same is, that 'mc' does know nothing about /sbin and /usr/sbin
But in mcedit it works again.
