Package: ifupdown
Version: 0.6.4-4.9
Severity: serious
Hi,
trying to install the package in a clean environment (pbuilder chroot), I got:
============================================================================= [...]
Setting up ifupdown (0.6.4-4.9) ...
ifupdown.postinst: Warning: No 'auto lo' statement found in /etc/network/interfaces
ifupdown.postinst: Warning: No 'iface lo' definition found in /etc/network/interfaces
/var/lib/dpkg/info/ifupdown.postinst: line 143:
/etc/network/run/ifstate: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing ifupdown (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
ifupdown
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) =============================================================================
This causes packages (also indirectly, e.g. libembperl-perl)
build-depending on ifupdown to FTBFS.
Thanks for considering.
bye,
Roland
