Hello Bdale!

Could this warning msg please changed so it would only be printed being on 'verbose' mode ?

This warning breaks a lot of scripts and doesn't give any extra information a user could really use.

I forwarded this problem to tardy upstream [1] and try to get tardy write better tar files. But meanwhile I don't see any advantage in tar's new 'warning' output.
It justs confuses user and break a lot of scripts.

So I reopen your bug and hope we get this stuff better working.
