• Bug#265650: Wishlist: a "shared" kind of interface

From Enrico Zini@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 11:40:08 2004

    Package: ifupdown
    Version: 0.6.4-4.8
    Severity: wishlist

    Hello,

after seeing what MacOS X is doing, it would be nice to have something
    like this:

    iface eth1 inet shared
    address 10.0.0.1
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    route-to eth0

So that that interface starts natting the given subnet and routing
things to eth0, also setting up a dhcp server to run on eth1.

    Bye,

    Enrico
