• Bug#265633: rxvt-unicode: debian patch makes rxvtd crash

From Marc Lehmann@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 09:10:07 2004

    Severity: normal

    hi :)

calling urxvtc -display :1, with no :1-server runnig, gives, with pristine sources:

    urxvt: can't open display :1

    and with the debian version:

protocol error: unexpected eof from server.

and urxvtd crashes, killing all terminal windows opened through it.

Reason seems to be the patch 04_graceful_exit.dpatch, (which should not
even apply cleanly to current sources).

(btw, the debian/rxvtc.1 manpage is now part of the official rxvt-unicode distribution and has been updated slightly compared to the original debian version).

    greetings,
    marc
