• Bug#265632: openvpn: sudden failures - killing vpn server sesion

    From Richard A Nelson@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 09:00:12 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: openvpn
    Version: 1.6.0-4
    Severity: important

I just started seeing these in my log - I have to restart the server
fairly often... which is terribly disruptive (reload will not start
a crashed session - probably a separate bug):

    Aug 13 22:11:12 ultima-thule ovpn-server-bandit-hall[27393]: Assertion
    failed at crypto.c:147
    Aug 13 22:11:12 ultima-thule ovpn-server-bandit-hall[27393]: Exiting

This is using a shared secret... infact shared amongst the other four
clients on the server (which is partly why restarts are so painful).

Three of the systems(including the server) are very recent (ie, today) unstable, the others are a month or so behind.
