• Bug#265626: mozilla-browser libraries that are used publicly should be

From Don Armstrong@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 05:10:10 2004
    XPost: linux.debian.devel
    From: [email protected]

    Package: mozilla-browser
    Severity: wishlist

The proper solution to #184401, namely, splitting out the libraries
used by Galeon and others and using sonames to version them
appropriately should be completed. This keeps reapearing in Galeon
bugs, most notably #264471 and the ilk.

This is upstream bug 53727, which was targeted to Mozilla 1.0 and for
some reason fell through the cracks.

I've pinged upstream to see what the status is, but perhaps Mark
Howard and Takuo Kitame know better...

As far as I know, these kind of issues have been postponed indefinitely.
It is now due after firefox and thunderbird 1.0, probably for mozilla
2.0, but considering the past for these issues, i'd say it's likely to
be postponed again for some random reason.
The main problem with Mozilla on unix at the present time is that it's
    too Windows-centric...
