• Bug#265616: gforge: more upgrade/installation issues

From Adrian Bunk@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 02:00:16 2004

    Package: gforge
    Version: 3.1-20
    Severity: grave

The "let's fix bugs before users hit them" bug.

gforge-sourceforge-transition has the same problem as described
    for sourceforge in #263784.

    sourceforge and gforge-sourceforge-transition have circular
dependencies which should be avoided whenever possible.
Looking at the two packages, sourceforge is completely empty.
Couldn't you move the small script from
gforge-sourceforge-transition to sourceforge and drop the gforge-sourceforge-transition package?

The resulting sourceforge should also IMHO depend on the gforge
package to really give a transition when doing a dist-upgrade.
This would also resolve the bug that the sourceforge/gforge-sourceforge-transition currently would need
a dependency on debconf if they use it in the postinst.
