• Bug#265608: psmandup: no backside output

From Ross Boylan@1:229/2 to All on Sat Aug 14 01:10:08 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: a2ps
    Version: 1:4.13b-3
    Severity: normal

Recently, when I use psmandup it only prints the front side of the
paper. If I use psmandup -b I see the printer briefly flash
    "processing job" but nothing happens.

At first I thought this was from improperly formatted input, but it's
happened a couple of times (and has not worked in between).

I love this feature, and it used to work for me.

I realize the problem may lie somewhere else in the food chain, but
this seemed the best place to start.

I use CUPS and have a networked HP LaserJet 4100N I use.

    My latest sequence:
    Download http://www.research.att.com/~bs/3rd_loc.pdf.
    Print to file with xpdf.
    psnup -2 3rd_loc.ps | psmandup -b | lpr
