Being the submitter of the "Please consider 5.3" bug, I just wanted to
express my support for what you're doing. I just hope that it is done
in time for Sarge... What do you think the chances are for that? The possibility of RC bugs in 5.7 that would make Sarge release with 5.0
was the reason why I proposed 5.3 instead.
Also, I'd love to hear what Fog thinks about it. If I remember
correctly, I think he wrote something in his blog recently about
wanting to attend to 5.7 packages shortly, but for the last few days,
his server has been unreachable from here...
