  • Bug#263912: bayonne FTBFS caused by changed API in libcapi20-2

From Jurij Smakov@1:229/2 to All on Fri Aug 13 20:50:16 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Hello,

The extra argument in ALERT_REQ function (included in libcapi20-2 built
from the isdnutils source) which causes this problem was added to the upstream's CVS on June 14th (the CVS diff may be examined at [0,1]). After that, the new version of isdnutils (1:3.3-8.1, actually the June 25th CVS snapshot) was packaged and uploaded via NMU [2]. I guess, that due the
changes to the API the soname for libcapi20-2 should have been bumped, but wasn't. I'm CCing this to the isdnutils maintainer and the NMUer in hope,
that they will be able to work out a solution.

Thanks for the tip. Mea culpa, I should have checked the libcapi20-2 bug
list. Do I understand correctly that the only way to fix the problem for bayonne now is to adapt it to the new API and rebuild against upcoming libcapi20-3? I might give it a shot...
