Package: apt-build
Version: 0.9.5
Severity: normal
The gcc.wrapper and g++.wrapper scripts print some information ("Using:
...") to stderr. This behaviour makes ./configure scripts fail when
testing if PIC flag works, so gcc won't compile with the -fPIC flag when
it's supposed to do it, and some packages can't be built. I haven't
tested it on architectures other than amd64, so I don't know if this is
really important out there (PIC is not even supported on several architectures).
Thank you very much,
Sergio
