after updating my system from woody my Internet-connections were really
slow (no connect to sites that work before and long times until a site is finally
displayed). After long searching (it took me 2 days) i found that you
added kernel-space pppoe support to pppoeconf. This unfortunately doesn't work for me (btw
i have a german dsl-provider called arcor), but the old (aka woody)
method of user-space pppoe works. So please could you either make
kernel-space pppoe optional / selectable or post a big warning for poor
suckers like me that you chnaged the pppoe connect mechanismus.
