• Bug#265396: gnome-control-center: Preferred Applications (gnome-default

From Ian McKellar@1:229/2 to All on Fri Aug 13 01:30:12 2004
    From: [email protected]

    Package: gnome-control-center
    Version: 1:2.6.1-11
    Severity: grave
    Justification: renders package unusable

Starting gnome-default-application-properties on the commandline causes
an immediate crash. Starting it from the foot menu brings up the crash reporting dialog. Interestingly I have this same package version
installed on a different machine but it doesn't crash at all. It has
older libraries though - I haven't upgraded it for a couple of days. I'm
not sure how to track down more closely which particular dependancy is triggering this crash though.

The stack trace is pretty unexciting:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting, but I must say that it's a duplicate of bug
264288. Moreover, I've already a patch for it and I'm waiting to finish
another patch to upload the package.

    Regards,
    Arnaud
