Hi there.
This message is related to
http://bugs.debian.org/37950 -- a ``problem''
with ytalk's license. If you are the Britt Yenne who coded the original
ytalk, please take a look at it, thank you.

I'll copy him, but I doubt that the mail address is still functional.
(This program was written 1993 anyway.)
A brief google search shows that there is a Britt Yenne with a homepage
of <URL:http://www.jump.net/~syenne/pilot/>, and an email address of [email protected] who is a software developer, and lives in Texas.
Not unlike the original author. Might be worth a try?
Yes, www.yenne.net/britt is obviously his homepage, you are right.
His directory entry at the FSF states ``Licensed under an X11-style
license.'' (
http://directory.fsf.org/livecomm/chat/ytalk.html)
The homepage of its last maintainer states: (
http://www.iagora.com/~espel/ytalk/ytalk.html)
YTalk is free software; it can be freely used, copied, redistributed,
and/or modified, as long as all the copyright notices are left intact.
I'll close the bug in a week if nobody cries.
Regards,
Philipp Kern
Maintainer of the Debian ytalk package
