I got the same errors after upgrading samba from an earlier 3.0 release
(sorry, can't remember which). Turning "load printers = yes" to "load
printers = no" solved the problem for me, and even printing from a windows-client works (samba uses cups). Don't know what 'load printers'
means, then.
