    Package: esound
    Version: 0.2.29-2
    Followup-For: Bug #265018

    I have the same problem.
Don't want to get involved in an 'unsanctioned NMU' discussion, but version 0.2.29-1.3 works fine.

Note that although xmms with ESD plugin plays too fast, but mplayer with ESD output works fine for me...
