    The cmake generated Makefiles do have support for the
    DESTDIR environment variable and seem to do the right thing.

    Maybe CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX isn't doing any harm, after all
    the VTK Debian packages seem to come out OK.

    Is that enough to close this bug?
