    When I call the preferences of this plugin and choose 'Close'
    without any changes, the window does not disappear. Also the whole
    panel hangs for about 30 seconds.

    Hi Bob,
    a Debian user reported a bug against xfce4-weather-plugin which I am not
    able to reproduce.

    Closing the preferences window without any change works fine on my
    system.

    Stephan, please provide any additional information which can allow to reproduce the behaviour you reported.

    After testing this bug I think, it only occurs when there is no network
    access or there was not any when the plugin has been started.

    So disconnect your PC and start Xfce4. The weather-plugin will show a
    grey icon and when you open the preferences now, you can see the
    mentioned behavior.
