• Bug#265196: dvgrab: complains "libquicktime cannot load plugins out of

From Jeff Bowden@1:229/2 to All on Thu Aug 12 07:40:06 2004

    Package: dvgrab
    Version: 1.6deb-1
    Severity: normal

When I invoke dvgrab with --format qt I get the following error message:

    Capture Started
    Cannot open plugin directory ${exec_prefix}/lib/libquicktime
Did you forget "make install"? You need it because
libquicktime cannot load plugins out of the sourcetree quicktime_encode_audio_stub called
    quicktime_encode_audio_stub called
    quicktime_encode_audio_stub called
    quicktime_encode_audio_stub called
    ...

It proceeds to create a valid .mov file which contains video but no audio.

It works fine otherwise (i.e. it creates correct files including autio if I specify --format dv or let it default to avi)

I tried downloading the source and rebuilding with dpkg-buildpackage but it ends up with the same result.
